A funding injection of nearly N$5 million is set to transform education in the Kavango West Region, as new classrooms and facilities at Maporeza and Cause Primary Schools promise improved learning and better job opportunities for the community.

The Education Directorate has allocated N$4.9 million for the construction of facilities at Maporeza and Cause Primary Schools.

Two classroom blocks will be constructed at the new school, Maporeza Primary School, in the Nkurenkuru Constituency, with each block consisting of four classrooms.

There will also be ablution facilities and a borehole.

A four-classroom block will be constructed at Cause Primary School in the Mpungu Constituency.

The contract has been awarded to the Namibia Training Authority, and both construction projects are expected to commence in January next year.
