Youth participation will be at the heart of this year's Independence Day celebrations in the |Khomas Region.

Leaders will be engaging young people in national festivities with activities planned over two days, starting tomorrow.

The day will begin with a march and parade starting from Palm Tree Park, proceeding along Independence Avenue to Zoo Park.

Participants are expected to gather as early as 08:00.

Students and young people from institutions across the region, including universities, vocational training centres, and schools, have also been encouraged to attend in large numbers.

At Zoo Park, the programme will feature official addresses from regional leadership, followed by a vibrant talent showcase.

Exhibitors and performers are expected to participate in what is set to be a lively afternoon of youth-driven entertainment and cultural expression.

The main event will take place on Saturday at Sam Nujoma Stadium.

Residents have been urged to attend both days and participate in celebrating Namibia's independence through unity, culture, and active civic engagement.
