The Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup is bringing football and netball action to Keetmanshoop this week.
Alongside the matches, local vendors are taking advantage of the influx of players, officials, and supporters to boost their sales.
Meet the "Buzzy Bee" from the Lutheran Church in Tseiblaagte, Keetmanshoop. Their stall is serving grilled bread, chicken and chips, and potjieskos at the event.
“This is day two of the tournament, but for us it is day three because we started setting up and selling on Thursday. Business has been good”Juringa Naris said.
Nbc Sport also visited a stall run by Minna Sachs Primary School. The vendor explained that she is there to support her husband, who is a teacher at the school.
“Yes, we did well. Items like hotdogs, soft drinks, and ice cream sold out. We restocked, but as I said, the business belongs to the school, not me “said Lenie Lospert.
