Zambia's Ministry of Tourism has issued a high alert for a herd of elephants that has crossed its border with Namibia and Botswana. 

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has released the 2026 general election roadmap leading to the August polls. 

The official programme is underway with the delimitation of constituencies consultations taking place in all the 116 districts of the 10 provinces of the country.

Omusati Governor Immanuel Shikongo has commended the Etunda village community for its commitment to improving infrastructure at Mupolo Primary School.

Parents partnered with the school to erect classrooms, dormitories, and halls.

The Windhoek Magistrate's Court has denied bail to the NAMDIA diamond robbery accused, Joel Angula, ordering that he remain in custody until his trial is finalised.

Angula was arrested on 19 January 2025, a day after the daring robbery occurred.

A 31-year-old woman, Hilma Hiskia, has been remanded in custody by Magistrate Tuarirovangu Kasirua for allegedly killing her boyfriend’s 3-year-old daughter at Ohalumbebe village over the weekend. Her case was postponed to 16 June.
