The Swakopmund-based charity organisation, Fighting Against Drug Use in Communities (FADUITC), also paid tribute to Founding President Sam Nujoma, describing him as a visionary leader who dedicated his life to the betterment of society.

The Otjozondjupa region is approximately 90 percent ready to host the regional memorial for founding President Sam Nujoma in Grootfontein on Monday.

Governor James Uerikua stated that the only remaining task for the day of the memorial will be decorating the venue.

The Rundu Sports Stadium was filled to capacity on Saturday as mourners from Kavango East and West gathered to pay tribute to Namibia’s late Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma.

On Friday, residents of Ohangwena, parts of the Oshikoto region, and surrounding areas gathered at the Eenhana Sport Stadium to honour the late founding President, Sam Nujoma.

Founding President Sam Nujoma has been recognized as a remarkable leader whose unwavering commitment and ideologies were vital in achieving a free Namibia.

This sentiment was echoed by speakers at the First Regional Memorial Service held on Thursday in his home village, Etunda.
