The National Assembly resumed discussions on the Roads Bill, with Minister of Works and Transport, John Mutorwa, responding to concerns raised by MPs regarding road safety measures and fencing along major roads.

The 5th Session of the Namibia/Nigeria Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation met in Windhoek on Wednesday to explore various areas of possible cooperation between the two nations.

The Supreme Court is set to hear an appeal that could change how parole is applied to life-sentenced prisoners. 

The case involves Thomas Florin, who was convicted of murdering and cooking his wife, Monika Florin, in Swakopmund in December, 1999.

A panel of Supreme Court judges, including Chief Justice Peter Shivute, Deputy Chief Justice Petrus Damaseb, and Justices of Appeal Sylvester Mainga, Hosea Angula, and Dave Smuts, will hear the case in which Dr. Panduleni Itula is challenging the results of the 2024 Presidential Election.

The High Court is set to continue hearing the case of imprisoned cannabis activist Brian Jaftha, who is suing corrections authorities for N$1.2 million after his dreadlocks were cut against his will.
