The Katutura Central Constituency office handed over income-generating equipment and materials worth N$277,000 to 20 residents on Saturday, aiming to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs), create jobs, and tackle unemployment.

The ||Kharas Education Director, Nicolaas Eiman, said the newly built classrooms at the Nowak Primary School in Tses Village are a major accomplishment.

He noted that the initiative symbolises tangible progress and renews hopes for a conducive learning environment at the school. 

The Namibian Police have distanced themselves from a video circulating on social media, which they say promotes division and racial hatred.

Kauna Shikwambi, the Head of the Police Public Relations Division, stated that the video's creators used the police logo without authorisation.

The Namibian government will fully enforce the Code of Good Practice, an effort to enable the procurement of certain goods and services within Namibia to benefit citizens. 

In 2023, the government issued a Code of Good Practice under the Public Procurement Act. 

A 46-year-old wood carver, Isaac Ndumba, and 8 other families crafted 'Ndjamba' – an elephant crafted from wood to the exact size of a real-life elephant.

The move was done to create awareness around their work and also promote the town of Okahandja, where the wooden elephant is located.
