Members of Parliament in the National Assembly have voiced support for global solidarity, introducing motions affirming solidarity with Cuba, Palestine, and the decolonisation of Western Sahara.

The Minister of Higher Education has invited trade unions to nominate four members to the Namibia Training Authority Board.

This follows a call by unions and employer associations last week that the current board be dissolved, as it is allegedly not properly constituted in accordance with the law.

Namport has clinched a deal that will see six passenger cruise liners spend more days at Walvis Bay in October to boost tourism.

A South African company, Oceana Group, has apologised over claims that the suspended Managing Director of its Namibian subsidiary, Erongo Marine Enterprises, had resigned. 

In a statement, the company said Dr. Martha Uumati's employment was terminated by mutual agreement.
