The leader of the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM), McHenry Venaani, has called on President Nangolo Mbumba to look into the affairs of the fishing industry. 

The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Erastus Uutoni, has called on the leaders of the Gobabis Municipality to promote unity amongst themselves in order to address much-needed development in the town.

Luderitz Town Council is racing to upgrade the ageing electricity, water, sewerage, and transport infrastructure in preparation for the expected green hydrogen, oil, and gas industries. 

This is among the myriad of developments revealed during President Nangolo Mbumba's visit to the town.

Dordabis village is partly owned by the government, with the rest owned privately. 

The population of the village, which is around 3,000 people, is cramped on this land. 

Eight farmers from Gobabis were arrested for trespassing at Farm Witsand in the district of Witvlei.

The group moved into Farm Witsand on Saturday, which belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform, with their livestock and other belongings.
