Health and Social Services Minister Dr. Esperance Luvindao has announced that Namibia will move towards regulatory approval for the rollout of Lenacapavir, a twice-yearly injection for the treatment and prevention of HIV.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appointed Modestus Amutse as the new Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy, effective 2 December 2025.

Amutse took over from Frans Kapofi, who had been acting in the position since the dismissal of Natangue Ithete in October.

21-year-old from Omega 3 lives with kyphosis

A 21-year-old man from Omega 3 in the Kongola Constituency, Kupulo yeku Mbeleko, has been living with kyphosis, an abnormal curvature of the spinal cord, his entire life.

In 2022, Mbeleko’s condition worsened when he began experiencing pain in his lower limbs, at which point he became wheelchair-bound.
