The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, Lucia Iipumbu, stated that follow-up verification at the ministry's offices revealed that some individuals previously classified as stateless may be eligible for documentation through alternative means.

The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture saved N$6.8 million by closing literacy centres across all 14 regions in 2024. Minister Dr Sanet Steenkamp stated that these savings have been reinvested into expanding the family literacy programme.

The University of Namibia (UNAM) is working on several capital projects, which include veterinary clinics and a food and beverage processing plant as well as a research centre for astronomy and space science. 

The Ministry of Health and Social Services has inaugurated the first state-owned Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine at the Windhoek Central Hospital.

The police reported 486 suicide cases across the country during the 2025/2026 government financial year. 

Of these, 390 were men, 83 women, nine boys and four girls.
