The G20's newly adopted Declaration outlines four high-level priorities, which President Cyril Ramaphosa says position the bloc on "how we can organise ourselves to be more focused on our core mandate."

The declaration was unanimously adopted at the opening of the leaders' summit. 

Ramaphosa rejects Western Cape secession efforts

President Cyril Ramaphosa says there is no part of South Africa's land that can be allowed to secede.

Ramaphosa said this in criticism of the planned trip to Washington D.C by the Cape Independence Advocacy Group, a pressure group that is seeking to secede the Western Cape from the rest of South Africa.
