The Namibian Defence Force (NDF) has commenced the pre-selection process for candidates shortlisted for the current intake.

Over 240 shortlisted candidates took part in the series of basic training tests at Katima Mulilo.

The endorsement of candidates for international organisations, industrialisation of the SADC region, and progress of implementation of previous resolutions were some of the discussion points for the SADC senior officials meeting.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has confirmed the shortlisting of five candidates for the position of Chief Electoral and Referenda Officer.

The Commission's Manager for Corporate Communications and Marketing, Siluka De Wet, announced the ECN received 12 applications.
