Magistrate Jurina |Hochobes recused herself from the NAMCOR corruption case on Tuesday.

Magistrate Linus Samanzula has postponed the bail hearing for the nine people charged in the NAMCOR matter to tomorrow. Some of the accused filed their bail applications on Monday, but the hearing could not proceed as planned.

A resident of Keetmanshoop has increased her civil claim against the town's magistrate, Unchen Konjore, from N$200,000 to N$500,000.

The case, filed by Lucia Hamana at the Windhoek High Court, stems from a 2023 maintenance hearing presided over by Konjore involving Hamana and her husband.

A Keetmanshoop magistrate, Unchen Konjore, is facing allegations of malpractice after she allegedly presided over a maintenance case involving a person she had a romantic relationship with, a conflict of interest that has sparked accusations of judicial misconduct and abuse of power.

Three women found in possession of cannabis over the weekend were denied bail at the Rundu Magistrate's Court yesterday.

The accused, Emilia Kakuhu, Intumba Rafael Domingas, and a minor, were arrested during a Police operation called Operation Lobster.
