Inspector General of the Namibian Police, Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, has acknowledged that there is a motor vehicle challenge in the force.

The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Lucia Iipumbu, said a Quantum bus was available for the Namibia Correctional Service officials who died in the Mariental accident on Saturday.

She said it remains unclear why the officers were transported in a vehicle reserved for inmates.

New Court rules change debt collection process

New High Court rules that came into effect on August 22 will now change how debts are collected, especially when people’s homes and salaries are involved. 

Under the new law, a person’s home cannot be sold to recover a debt unless a court first holds a hearing. 

State seeks Magistrate's recusal in NAMCOR case
