NamPower has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the country's electricity supply security by adopting a least-cost supply mix and boosting local generation capacity. 

The University of Bremen in Germany has partnered with the Windhoek VTC to train lecturers and instructors in the fields of solar and wind energy.

As part of this collaboration, the two institutions held a one-day workshop aimed at sharing knowledge, skills, and best practices.

Namibia has the potential, through solar energy, to generate sufficient power for its domestic needs and could also play a pivotal role in supplying energy to various parts of Southern Africa.
