Namibia has made history with the launch of the Namibian Sign Language Model App, a breakthrough tool to bridge communication barriers and empower the hearing-impaired community.

Speakers at the University of Namibia (UNAM)'s 2nd Chancellor's Annual Charity Gala Dinner held in Windhoek have called for the inclusion of technology for students with disabilities.

These efforts, they say, will unlock the potential of all students, regardless of their circumstances or special needs.

Kunene Governor Marius Sheya says green hydrogen opportunities offered to young people in the region have not been responsive to the needs of school drop-outs.

Sheya is advocating for their inclusion in future projects.
