The Minister of Justice and Labour Relations, Wise Immanuel, has highlighted progress made by his ministry over the past 6 years during a cabinet committee briefing at the Government Information Centre (GIC).

The ministry has issued 30 compliance orders, 20 of which are now under appeal. 

The government, through the Justice and Labour Relations Ministry, has handed over eight vehicles to traditional authorities to support their community courts and strengthen the traditional justice system. 

Swapo Party MP and chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs, Kletus Karondo, presented a report on the state of community courts in Namibia in the National Assembly.
