A beekeeper operating at Omega 1 in the Kavango East Region says demand for honey has become overwhelming.

David Mushavanga runs a small-scale beekeeping project and says customers from across the country are eager to taste his product, which is marketed as “Bushman Honey".

Young Namibians, particularly young women, have been urged to look beyond traditional farming practices and view agriculture as a viable business and pathway to economic empowerment.     

Okakarara Regional Councillor Uzeraije Tjaverua made the call on Friday at the Okatjoruu Agricultural Farmers' Day.
