A new N$200 million port terminal, owned by African Global Logistics (AGL), was commissioned at the Walvis Bay Multipurpose Terminal. AGL has collaborated with the Namibian Ports Authority (NAMPORT) to enhance operations at the port.

The Namibian Ports Authority (NamPort) commissioned three mobile harbour cranes at Walvis Bay and Lüderitz to address service disruptions due to old equipment breakdowns.

Namport's CEO, Andrew Kanime, says Founding President Sam Nujoma had a keen interest in the company's operations and had consistently made time to assess the progress of the ports.
