Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare says Namibia is making progress in expanding access to water and sanitation but admits the country still faces significant challenges in reaching every community.

Dr. Elijah Ngurare made the announcement during the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations International Summit, which took place in Luanda, Angola.

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare emphasised that the implementation of the seven priorities of the eighth administration must proceed without delay. He stated that all stakeholders, including governors, must remain accountable within the framework of the law.

The government has allocated N$34 million to improve sanitation across the country.

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare informed the National Assembly that should this amount not be sufficient, his office will engage with local authorities.
