Minister of Information and Communication Technology Emma Theofelus on Friday revealed that Cabinet approved the strengthening of the Namibia Medicines Regulatory Council.

12 May has officially been declared Nujoma Day, in honour of the late Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation, Dr. Sam Nujoma.

The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, made the announcement during the latest cabinet briefing.

The government has announced a moratorium on official funerals.

This decision was made during the 11th cabinet meeting, held on Tuesday and chaired by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appointed Inge Zaamwaani as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Management. 

Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah made the announcement at State House today.
