||Kharas Youth have called for stronger enforcement of the Tobacco Products Control Act to discourage the use of new and emerging nicotine products, particularly among young people.

The National Council Standing Committee on Health, Social Welfare and Labour Affairs has commenced an investigative visit to selected schools in the Otjozondjupa Region.

The purpose is to assess the use of hubbly bubbly and other tobacco-related products among learners and their impact on their health.

The Africa Regional Tobacco Control Partners Coordination Meeting is underway in Windhoek. 

The main aim of the three-day meeting is to strengthen coordination of tobacco control efforts across Africa and to align strategies to reduce tobacco use and its health impacts.
