The Omusati Region has launched its Polio Vaccination Campaign as part of the nationwide polio immunisation drive.

The four-day vaccination campaign, which aims to immunise all children under the age of 10, will be rolled out throughout the region.

Polio vaccination starts in Zambezi despite no cases

The Ministry of Health and Social Services is aiming to vaccinate more than 95% of eligible children in the Zambezi Region during the ongoing nationwide polio vaccination campaign.

This target translates to about 41,000 children under the age of ten, despite the region having recorded no cases of polio.
