NamWater has announced an extension of water rationing in Walvis Bay as unresolved electricity supply issues at the Rooi Bank and Dorop South aquifer systems continue to affect water extraction. 

Concerned youth, learners, and students from institutions of higher education, joined by the Oshana Region’s Education Directorate, this morning held a march in solidarity with the families of the three children who were murdered in Okahandja.

Learners from various schools in Rundu, Kavango East Region, took to the streets this morning in a nationwide mass march against violence towards children. 

Kavango East is joining the rest of the regions in these marches that are aimed at creating awareness about violence against children. 

Learners from schools in Keetmanshoop staged a peaceful demonstration to condemn the recent tragic killings of three young girls in Okahandja.

They expressed sympathy with the community of Okahandja for the pain and suffering caused by these brutal acts.

Learners from the coastal town of Swakopmund took to the streets today as part of the nationwide mass march against violence towards Children, expressing fear and demanding urgent action in the wake of recent brutal killings.

The United Nations Namibia has joined the chorus and condemned the killing of three girls in Okahandja.

The UN office in the country has described the murders as a national tragedy and a violation of children's rights.

A wave of grief and desperation swept through the town of Okahandja today, as hundreds, if not thousands, of residents, learners, and community leaders took to the streets in a mass protest over the horrific murders of three young girls.

Two of them were five and six years old, while the other was 15.

The Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations has ordered Omeya Investment CC to pay its employees according to the National Minimum Wage.

The action by the ministry follows a protest led by the Namibia Security Workers Union, which claimed that the company was underpaying staff.
