Three people drowned following heavy rains in Windhoek

While the rain has been a blessing for some, it has brought devastation to others.

The City of Windhoek's Disaster Risk Management Division has confirmed three fatalities in just one night of heavy rain. 

One of the deceased is a pensioner whose body has been recovered.

Lambert Haingura, a resident of Hamweyi Village in the Kavango West Region, is one of those affected, as the weekend's rain was accompanied by lightning, which struck and killed seven of his cattle.
