In the Zambezi Region, leaders and veterans of the liberation struggle came together at Katima Mulilo to honour the memory of the late Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma.

The young members carrying the baton of the Ndilimani Cultural Troupe believe that art can still be used as a powerful tool to bring about change.

Members of the Ndilimani Cultural Troupe recalled the impact of the late Founding President Sam Nujoma in the formation of the group during the liberation struggle.

The group served as a tool for mobilisation, soldier morale-boosting, and entertainment during the liberation struggle.

Ombara Hikuminue Kapika of the Kapika Traditional Authority has added his voice of sorrow following the death of the late Sam Nujoma.

The ailing Kapika gave his condolence message via the MICT Team from his homestead at Omuramba village in the Epupa Constituency 

The atmosphere in the National Assembly was filled with sorrow and emotions as MPs continued to pay their final respects to the late Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma. Several speakers delivered emotional speeches, struggling to contain their tears.

The tributes will continue on Tuesday.

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) observed a moment of silence in honour of the late Founding President Dr. Sam Nujoma.

The presidency has urged Namibians to join in large numbers to bid a final farewell to the Founding President Sam Nujoma.

Dr. Nujoma will be buried on March 1st at the Heroes Acre, on the outskirts of Windhoek.

Fumu Erwin Munika Mbambo, the traditional leader of the Hambukushu people, described the late Founding President Dr. Sam Nujoma as a courageous individual who faced challenges directly.

The government has unveiled the official mourning portrait of the Founding President, Sam Nujoma, to be displayed during the mourning period.

Audrin Mathe, Executive Director of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), announced that the portrait will be accessible nationwide.

Residents of Noordoewer and Grunau in the ||Kharas Region have expressed deep sorrow over the death of Namibia’s Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma.

Reflecting on his passing, residents acknowledged Nujoma’s pivotal role in the country’s liberation.
