Councillor Skrywer described the findings of the flood assessment as disturbing, pointing to the seriousness of the flood situation.

|Khomas Regional Council delivers food parcels to flood-affected residents

The |Khomas Regional Council, together with the Office of the Prime Minister, handed over food parcels to Windhoek residents affected by the flash floods. 

According to the Chief Regional Officer of |Khomas Regional Council, over 280 households and 1,186 individuals have been affected directly. 

Heavy rainfall causes extensive damage to Windhoek homes

The heavy rainfall yesterday damaged several houses in Windhoek, leaving residents scrambling to repair them this morning.

Among the worst-hit areas were Otjomuise, Havana, and Greenwell Matongo, where many homeowners were seen patching up broken structures.
