Regional road networks to be upgraded

The government has prioritised upgrading the Okahandja-Hochfeld-Otjozondu-Okondjatu roads to tar as part of the Roads Authority's Integrated Business Plan.

Some of the roads earmarked for upgrading are Omaheke and the Du Plessis-Epukiro road to link to Eiseb Block.

Namibia is celebrating the life of the remarkable Axali Jakobus Doëseb, who many agree left an indelible mark on the world of music and culture. 

Axali Doëseb, born in 1954 in Okahandja, hailed from a musical family and was a prodigious talent in the field of music.

The late Axali Doëseb was buried at Pioneerspark Cemetery in Windhoek.

Doëseb died at the age of 68 on the 27th of last month.

Family and friends gathered at Pioneerspark Cemetery to bid farewell to the composer and author of Namibia's National Anthem, Axali Doëseb.

Mourners from different walks of life gathered at Parliament Gardens to remember the life and times of the iconic national composer and writer of the National Anthem, Axali Doëseb.

The late Doëseb died on October 27 at Lady Pohamba Private Hospital.
