Residents of Oimba-dalunga in the Ohangwena Region were the first to witness the flood waters coming into Namibia from Angola on Friday. 

Some access roads leading to Engela hospital and surrounding villages from Oimbadalunga have already been flooded. 

Some schools that were affected by last year's rainfall are yet to be fixed.

At Iimbili Combined School in the Ohangwena Region, some learners are attending classes in a tent as a result.

Namibia has still not recorded flood water in the Cuvelai catchment from southern Angola.

The re-opening of schools in the Ohangwena Region kicked off on a positive note, with all learners having been placed.

The region managed to place more than 1,000 grade 12 and 600 grade 10 learners, despite being one of the most populated regions in the country after |Khomas.

The road leads to Onehanga Clinic which is under construction.

The same road is used by Onehanga villagers when they need medical treatment at the Olukula Health Center.
