The Namibia Film Commission's 2026 Film Week is underway in Windhoek. The film week celebrates storytelling and the growth of Namibia's film industry. 

The National Theatre of Namibia, in partnership with the Namibia Film Commission and the NBC, has announced the return of the Namibian Theatre and Film Awards for 2026. 

After a six-year break, the nominees for the sixth biennial awards – spanning both stage and screen – have finally been revealed.

The Namibia Film Week will kick off on Wednesday in Windhoek.

The four-day Namibian film screening events will showcase shorts, features, and documentaries all produced by Namibians.
