Swapo Party pays tribute to Cassinga victims

The Swapo Party held a candlelight vigil at the party's headquarters to honour the heroes and heroines who lost their lives during the Cassinga Massacre in 1978 in Angola. 

On the 4th of May in 1978, an event took place in the Cassinga refugee camp in Southern Angola.

Presidency Confirms Former minister Mac Hengari was fired

The Presidency has clarified that former agriculture minister Mac Albert Hengari was, in fact, fired by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

In a brief statement, the Presidency said the President had expected Hengari’s resignation by Wednesday last week.
