Former President Hifikepunye Pohamba says he is recovering well after he underwent a scheduled surgical procedure at Ongwediva in June this year.

Former President Hifikepunye Pohamba is humbled by the decision to name the new Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security Headquarters after him.

Pohamba has been honored as the founding minister of the Home Affairs Ministry following Namibia's independence.
