The Municipality of Walvis Bay has donated four erven to the Sunshine Child and Family Care Centre to help expand services for children and youth with disabilities.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi has launched the Revised National Policy on Disability, marking a key step toward Namibia's commitment to social justice, equality and the full inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Five people with disabilities applauded the Swakopmund constituency and municipality for donating plots to them.

Since 2013, the five beneficiaries have struggled to secure plots due to discrimination and limited access to economic opportunities.

These were the words of Josef Sheema, a person with a disability who walked six kilometres from B1 City People's Mall Katutura to the National Museum of Namibia in support of people with disabilities. 

The Chairperson of People with Disabilities in the Ohangwena Region, Asser Shikongo, has called on the Electoral Commission of Namibia (EC) to, in the build-up to the national elections, be mindful of their responsibilities to citizens with disabilities. 

Reports have surfaced of a young, differently abled woman named Elizabeth Andgondji who was allegedly turned away from the Eros International Airport due to her condition.

A 25-year-old disabled young woman from the Okombahe Settlement, Erongo Region, is appealing for assistance in securing a dignified ablution facility.
