The Swapo Party's Coordinator for the ||Kharas Region, Mathew Mumbala, has expressed gratitude to the electorate, especially in ||Kharas, for their support, which secured the party's victory in the recently concluded national elections.
Mumbala extended his congratulations to President-Elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on her victory at a media briefing.
He stated that Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah's success as a female candidate of the Swapo Party highlights Namibia's thriving democracy and diverse leadership, making it a model admired globally.
"Even though the election saw the Swapo Party losing seats in parliament, this victory is not just a triumph for Swapo but a victory for the people of Namibia. It is for every single voter who has chosen hope over division, unity over discord, and progress over stagnation. This is your victory, as you all know how the Swapo Party has spearheaded our people's progressive development."
Mumbala also acknowledged the commitment and efforts of all political parties that participated in the general elections.
"A healthy democracy is one where diverse voices are heard, and we value the contributions of those who stood up to present their vision for Namibia. Together, we must continue to work towards a Namibia that is united and where all citizens have the opportunity to succeed."
The Swapo Party Coordinator for ||Kharas stated that the victory comes at a time when the nation is tackling critical challenges such as economic transformation, inclusive development, youth unemployment, inequality, and poverty.
Mumbala appealed to all party districts in the region to organize their own victory celebrations.
