The chairperson of the Otjokavare council under the Vita Royal House has extended condolences over the passing of late leader Sam Nujoma.

Dr. Erastus Mukuaruuze conveyed his condolences through MICT Kunene's team, emphasising Nujoma's unwavering dedication to the liberation struggle.

Mukuaruuze highlighted that even amidst the brutal Cassinga attack, where South African forces claimed to have crippled SWAPO, Nujoma remained steadfast. His relentless pursuit of freedom led to the peaceful liberation of Namibia, a peace that has endured, unlike in some other African nations, he said. 

Mukuaruuze described Nujoma as a divinely guided leader whose wisdom ensured continued peace among Namibians despite their diverse political affiliations.
