The President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, has sent a message of congratulations to President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on her inauguration.

Faye's special envoy, Yasmin Fall, delivered the message to Nandi-Ndaitwah at State House. 

She said Senegalese leaders and the women in general were proud of Nandi-Ndaitwah, seeing her rise to the Presidency as historic.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed gratitude for the well-wishes extended.
