The opening of the fourth boys' leadership camp outside Okahandja was graced by dignitaries who encouraged the Namibian boy-child to be disciplined and focused.
The 4th Boys Leadership Camp, hosted under the School of Destiny Associates (SODA) Movement spearheaded by Sydney Boois, provides a platform for young boys to find their purpose in life and develop discipline.
The opening day also coincided with African Child Day, and keynote speaker First Gentleman Epaphras Ndaitwah highlighted the importance of discipline in boys' lives.
The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture, Dino Balotti, reminded participants that leadership does not have to come with age.
Sydney Boois, the camp’s mastermind, shared that although he never met his father, he managed to overcome life’s challenges.
He called for assertiveness, setting boundaries, and the ability to embrace change.
The camp will run until Sunday, with life coaches providing lessons on entrepreneurship, resilience, and responsibility.
