The Council of Traditional Leaders in Namibia (CTLN) has applauded President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's approach to involve the voices of traditional authorities in the affairs of the country.

The delegation from the Council of Traditional Leaders, including Chairperson Gaob Immanuel |Gâseb and his deputy, Omukwaniilwa Fillemon Shuumbwa, held a courtesy meeting with the President at State House.

The Council says Nandi-Ndaitwah's willingness to listen to the advice at times and the concerns of the traditional leadership inspires confidence in the betterment of the communities.

"As custodians of culture and communities, we stand ready to support your efforts in nation-building and development. May your leadership continue to be guided by wisdom, compassion and strength with the sincere appreciation and respect that you have given to see us today," said Gaob |Gâseb.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah says the State House remains open to discussions, which are in the best interests of all Namibians.
