As the leadership of the City of Windhoek Council enters its final year in office, key executives and stakeholders gathered under the theme “Strengthening Accountability, Engagement, and Service Delivery” to reflect on the achievements and challenges of the 2024/2025 financial year.

Mayor Ndeshihafela Larandja, in her remarks, emphasised the importance of public trust in the city’s leadership, calling it a key driving force behind ongoing efforts to improve service delivery and governance.

City CEO Moses Matyayi presented the challenges posed by rapid urban growth and the pressure that this growth places on infrastructure and services. 

He also revealed that the total cost of implementing the City of Windhoek’s Strategic Plan 2022–2027 may reach up to N$6 billion, highlighting the scale of investment required to meet the city’s long-term development goals.
