A Windhoek-based teenager, Jobin Shovaleka (13), launched her book titled The Aliens, aimed at encouraging forgiveness and problem-solving among young readers.

The story follows two friends, Miya and Daisy, on an unexpected adventure. After hearing strange voices in the woods, they became friends.

With the love of writing, she hopes her book will spark imagination and reading for all age groups and inspire people to understand that there is always a solution for any challenge they might face in life.

"I love reading and writing stories, but I will say my favourite book is The Aliens because it's all about friendship and mysteries. I would like to share more about what it entails, but that would be spoiling a really good book," said Shovaleka.

The book 'The Aliens' was published by Victoria Authors Self-Publishing Services.

It took Shovaleka, a pupil at Pionierspark Primary School in Windhoek, four years to write the book, which is available at the National Library of Namibia.
