The late Ras Sheehama, a legend of reggae music, was buried at Anamulenge Cemetery in the Omusati Region.
He was laid to rest with the release of doves by his children, widow, and family members.
His wife, Saskia Sheehama, expressed her deep gratitude for the love, support, and comfort she received during the painful loss of her husband.
She said it was a true blessing to be married into such a wonderful and beautiful family, adding that her husband always valued honesty and disliked people who were not genuine.
Reflecting on their marriage, Saskia shared that while their love story was not a fairytale and had its ups and downs, their bond was always deep, real, and unshakeable.
She fondly recalled the first time she saw him perform, 22 years ago, at the Warehouse Theatre in Windhoek, shortly after she arrived in Namibia. She was blown away by his talent and powerful voice as he played original songs. That moment, she said, marked the beginning of a life-changing journey together.
