The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) is well prepared for the Outapi constituency by-election scheduled for Monday, the 29th of September.

In an interview with NBC News, ECN Deputy Director of Communications, De Wet Siluka, said they are currently busy with issuing duplicate voter cards, a process that started today and will end tomorrow.

Those who lost, misplaced, or damaged their voter cards are expected to collect duplicates at the Outapi constituency office.

The Outapi constituency has 26,444 registered voters who are expected to cast their votes in the upcoming by-election.

Sensitive and non-sensitive materials have already been received and are kept safe at Outapi.

Voters are called upon to wake up early and exercise their democratic right on Monday by voting for the councillor of their choice.
