The National Democratic Party (NDP) regards President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's decision to engage political parties represented in Parliament as demonstrating servant leadership, as all work together to address the challenges facing the country.

NDP President Martin Lukato, accompanied by the party's top leadership, remarked this after a consultative meeting with President Nandi-Ndaitwah at State House.

He said the objective of developing Namibia and meeting citizens' needs remains a shared goal among all parties, and discussions involving all stakeholders are therefore crucial.

NDP's main concern, he said, is that the country's natural resources be managed in a way that creates jobs and empowers the youth as future leaders.

"I just want to commend and salute her for that. Definitely, she is a leader because, without doubt, she cannot lead alone without the assistance of the opposition parties. Our goal is one single goal, and it is to develop Namibia and also to take care of the Namibian people, as issues affecting Namibians can affect everybody, so when we discuss issues like how to resolve them, that is how important these meetings are."

NDP is the latest political party to be engaged by the President to, in part, respond to questions posed during the State of the Nation Address in April this year.
