The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) has confirmed the reappointment of its Commissioner, Sam Shivute, following an announcement made on Friday.

In a statement, the NamRA Board said it is pleased to confirm the reappointment of Sam Shivute as the Commissioner of NamRA by the Minister of Finance, Erich Shafudah, in accordance with Section 18 of the Namibia Revenue Agency Act, 2017 (Act No. 12 of 2017).

According to the statement, Shivute’s new term will run for five years, effective from 1 March 2026 to 28 February 2031.

“The Board extends its appreciation to the Honourable Minister and Cabinet for the continued confidence placed in Shivute’s leadership,” it said.

The Board further congratulated Shivute on his reappointment, recognising his ongoing role in strengthening the institution.

“The Board congratulates Shivute on his reappointment and commends him for his dedication and trusts that he will continue spearheading institutional growth and excellence, which serves as a strong foundation for NamRA’s vision of becoming a world-class revenue agency,” the statement read.
