The Swanu candidate looking to serve Okahandja Constituency, Eben Kangumine, has said her goal is to develop the town for the benefit of its residents.

Speaking at a mini Swanu rally in Okahandja, Kangumine highlighted her priorities for the community and reminded supporters of where they will be expected to cast their votes during the upcoming Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections. 

As part of her plan, she pledged to empower young people and create more recreational spaces and ensure that children have safe places to play.

"If I am elected to the municipality, my goal is to keep young people away from bars where they are smoking vapes. I will create a place where they can go watch movies or swim in a swimming pool."

Kangumine also promised the reduction or removal of all utility bills for the elderly.
