The community policing team in Katima Mulilo started the year with a cleanup campaign, focusing on government properties throughout the town.

A volunteer, Katrina Kaundu, said she has been active in the yearly clean-up activities around the town for the past few years.

Another volunteer, Mutafela Mutafela, welcomed entities that need their premises cleaned. 

The police station commander in Katima Mulilo, Charles Mayumbelo, commended the volunteers for living up to their promises to keep the town presentable.

Mayumbelo also encouraged churches, community members and business owners to join the volunteers to keep the town clean.

He asked that those who can provide assistance in any form do so.
