Police in Aranos have encouraged all liquor outlets to renew their liquor licenses, which expire at the end of this month.
The Aranos Police Community Policing and Crime Prevention Unit commander, Sergeant Edward Michael, has cautioned liquor license holders that failing to renew their licenses would put them in contravention of the Liquor License Act.
“It is our mandate as the Aranos Police Station to conduct proper inspections of all liquor outlets to ensure that these licenses are renewed. Failure to comply will result in fines and possible prosecution,” Sergeant Michael said.
Moreover, Sergeant Michael urged liquor license holders to operate their businesses within the legal framework as stipulated in their licenses.
“Remember that we are approaching the Easter weekend, and you do not want your outlet to be closed during this period,” he added.
