The Body of Christ leader, Festus Thomas, questioned the Ministry of Education on why some learners, particularly those registered with Namcol in Okongo, were allocated wrong subjects after paying registration fees.
Deputy Minister Dino Ballotti clarified that this was a case of one learner who had not verified their examination registration.
"Learners are given a chance to verify and correct the subjects before examination. This is because the Directorate of DNA provides a four-week verification period for learners to check the correctness of the examination entries. This period is widely communicated through the various channels."
Ballotti stated that Namcol's position is to ensure that no loss of service delivery has occurred since these learners would have received full tuition and academic support throughout the year.
"The ministry, Namcol and DNEA remain committed to ensuring effective service delivery to learners and will continue working closely to develop the solutions that prevent similar occurrences in the future. We trust that this clarification addresses the concern raised and provides guidance for the way forward."
