The Aminuis constituency councillor, Isando Kavari, has urged young people in the area to make use of opportunities available to advance their entrepreneurship ambitions.

Kavari highlighted these sentiments during an engagement of the Environmental Investment Fund with the Aminuis community.

The Environmental Investment Fund engaged a group of young people in the Aminuis Constituency on possible project funding aimed at addressing unemployment and improving livelihoods.

Business Analyst at Environmental Investment Fund, Keith Handura, said given the number of applications, it was necessary for the fund to directly engage the youths to explain what is expected from them when submitting their proposal.

"We offer up to a hundred and fifty-five dollars, and the loan we have to facilities, which are the green impact facilities, started in 2023 and the national development fund, which is the government initiative that was launched last year specifically for youth empowerment ranging from 18 to 45 years, and these are all funds and facilities that we administer and manage under the environmental investment fund."

Kavari pointed out that unemployment in the area is real and encouraged young people to submit business ideas of their choice for possible funding.

" Is brilliant information what we get today , its ore useful because is all about community development and youth we now focus more on that them they seek or thing it will address the issue of unemployment and business perspective so we welcome this in our constituency….Out

Our news team spoke to some attendees."

"We try our level best to come up with a correct business proposal, and our constituency office will also provide us with space and time to critique it. They should look, and EIF has also told us that they will assist us."

"This is a very good initiative because of good companies like this one visiting us. Funding is the only problem, and we do have ideas because we need materials and all needed equipment to start up a business."
