Outjo Constituency Councillor Kleofas Gaingob says he is pleased with ongoing development projects at Seringkop, Queen Sofia and Werda.

Gaingob added that the three settlements have been identified as growth points of infrastructure development.

According to the councillor, a school block and sick bay were built through a joint venture at Seringkop to complement government efforts.

A bidding tender has also closed for the construction of a health centre at Seringkop at a cost of N$25 million.

"Seringkop is one area that we have identified from which the government's developmental programmes will be executed in bringing much-needed services closer to the people. In fact, Seringkop, Queen Sofia and Werda are the three areas that we have identified as growth points within other constituencies.

At Werda settlement, where the Kunene Region's gateway or checkpoint is located, a lodge is being constructed with staff quarters.

"The government of the Republic of Namibia, at all times, with its statutes and regulatory frameworks in place, is at all times creating a conducive environment for the development of our people. The number of projects to embark on has been identified, and it's enjoying the much-needed attention from my office."

Queen Sofia, a government-operated resettlement farm, is also receiving attention to complement the current government service there.
